Dan Edelstein, Ph.D.
Dan Edelstein is a professor in the French and Italian departments at Stanford University where he is also the Faculty Director of the COLLEGE program that introduces the humanities to all undergraduate students in their first year. He does research and specializes at the crossroads of literature, history, political thought and digital humanities. He is the author of three academic books and has edited six volumes of essays. Edelstein is the founding faculty director of the “Humanities + Design” Research Lab at CESTA and the co-Principal Investigator for the “Mapping the Republic of Letters” Project. He is working on his first trade book about the value of a liberal education.
